Valentine's Day

A little late but at least I did it! Valentine's Day was busy like any other day. Alex and I dropped the kids off at mom's and went to the movies. (So nice to able to leave them now!) Then we picked them up and just hung out at home all day. Alex barbecued spare ribs while I made an awesome dessert. Chocolate chip cookie brownie with dark chocolate ganache topping. OMG We seriously all just took forks to that pan. lol It was really good. Then we watched more Dr. Who while we ate dinner. Just a normal day around here. lol Here's the few pics I remembered to catch.
Yeah, yeah they are cute.

Their little goodies. I got the bags from a store on Etsy.com Wonderfully made and perfect for little things.

Painting!

Yes, I got up the guts to let the kids paint. AJ and a friend did a bunch. They were ready to go play with trains by the time I got the camera ready. So I let Emily have a turn....

So excited to fingerpaint for the 1st time.

Ewwwww!

Ok, so this is kinda fun....

Evening at the Park

We decided to hit the park last weekend. It was kinda chilly so don't mind my mismatched kids. lol
She can totally climb stuff all by herself. And don't try to help, she'll just get mad.

My big boy

Daddy was totally freaked out by her wanting to do this but she was desperate to try. She LOVES daring stunts.

She LOVES slides! If we're driving and she see's one, she begs to stop and play.

Love this picture!

My 2 little frozen popsicles. They don't handle the cold very well. lol

It's already February????

Where did the time go? AJ is almost finished with the K4 Abeka book. We're taking a week's break and then jumping straight into K5. It should be mostly review for him but I don't want to jump straight into 1st grade with just K4 under his belt. He's really started to pick up the reading now. He needs some prompts and reminders but I'm happy with the progress he's made from Sept 08 to Feb 09. Never thought we'd get this far! He's having NO trouble with addition but he does not like the teen numbers.
Emily is still Emily. She's obssessed with Dora. Everything Dora must be hers. @@ Makes it hard to shop with her now. lol Everyone in the Target baby department knew she was a Dora fan by the time we left. She's just LOUD! No idea where she gets that from. ;) She is still into Mamma Mia as well but at least Dora tempers that a bit. She talks pretty much non-stop now. Tons more words, phrases, and now she can almost dress herself. (Darn cloth diaper keeps her from pulling pants over her butt.)
ROFL.... dh just said that Emily managed to unzip her sleeper a bit, rubbed some of my deododarant under her arms and then couldn't get her arms back in. My baby smells baby powder fresh now. :X
She's still nursing A TON. No telling when she'll quit but I'm cool with it... for now. She still doesn't have much interest in the potty. She's my last baby for the moment so I'm not pushing her yet. I can't believe she will be 3 this summer.
